There is no cost to the user.
Usage
For personal computers (Windows, Mac), tablets, and smartphones.
It does not matter whether it is personally owned or a university asset.
Per individual, it can be installed on up to 5 computers, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones.
Conditions of Use
It can only be used while you are a student or staff member at Saitama University.
In the event of graduation, withdrawal, resignation etc., please be sure to uninstall.
※OneDrive will also become unavailable if you lose your status.
Be sure to save any necessary data in advance.
- You can use it regardless of whether you are inside or outside the university.
- Only the individual can use this software.
- Regular verification is carried out via the Internet, so please understand.

Please obtain the installation manual for Windows PC from the link below.
The software is provided as is, and our center only supports the installer download and post-installation authentication for M365 Apps.
If you don't understand the manual for the installer download and post-installation authentication, please bring your notebook PC with which you're trying to install M365 Apps and your university-wide unified authentication account notification letter to the Information Technology Center's office during opening hours. Please refrain from inquiries by phone.

To Effectively Utilize the License
To avoid wasting the number of licenses, make sure to 'deactivate' computers and other devices on which M365 Apps have been installed when they are to be discarded.
1) Open Excel or Word and "Sign out"
2) If you are using Windows OS, display "Settings" → "Accounts" → "Access to work or school" from the Windows menu, and disconnect any account that is connected with the Office365 account.
3) Please refer to here (Microsoft's page) and perform "Deactivation" of unnecessary devices.

This applies not only when disposing, but also when returning rented computers.
FAQ
I installed it on my computer (Windows PC), but I get an error when I sign in
Please follow the steps below for verification.
- First, please check if the username (Office365 account) and password you enter for signing in is correct.
If you can sign in to Webmail of Office365(Outlook on the web), then it is correct.
- Is the number of devices where you installed M365 Apps '5 or fewer'?
You might still have the sign-in information of your previous PC.
Refer to this page (Microsoft's page) and perform the 'Deactivation' of unnecessary devices.

- Please proceed with the reinstallation of M365 Apps.
After uninstalling, please restart your PC once.
If the uninstalling procedure gives an error, please refer to this FAQ and follow the complete uninstalling procedure.
- Microsoft Office 365 Support/Recovery Assistant isDownload from Microsoft, install and run please.
If the above does not resolve the problem, please contact us with details of the error, error code, and the results of running "Support/Recovery Assistant".
"System Error: 0x80070005" appears, and I am left in a state of expired license.
After updating M365 Apps or Windows, an error 0x80070005 is displayed, and a problem that results in an expired state has been reported.
In that case, first, please download the Microsoft Office 365 Support/Recovery Assistant from
Microsoftand install and run it.

I have already installed Excel and Word on my own purchased PC. Should I download and install the university's M365 Apps?
You can continue to use what is installed on your own PC without any problems.
Can I still use it after graduation?
The applications provided by our Center can only be used while studying. Please uninstall them promptly after graduation.
I want to uninstall M365 Apps, but I encounter an error.
If you cannot uninstall using the usual methods,
consider using the [Uninstall Support Tool] to completely remove Office.

Pay attention to the following points when using this tool.
- If you have installed Office products other than M365 Apps, they will all be uninstalled.
- When reinstalling Office, please work after rebooting the OS once.
I installed M365 Apps on the PC I rented and used it by signing in with my Office365 account. What should I do when returning it?

When I try to launch Office, I get a message saying "Your organization has disabled this device. Error code 135011 ..."
In the case of only performing Step 3) of the "
Deactivation" on this page, such a message may appear.
Please make sure to carry out the steps below as well.
- Go to [Settings]>[Account]>[Work or School Access].
- Select the account and select [Disconnect].
If this situation has occurred unintentionally, the user cannot recover it by themselves.
Please find out the [Device ID] of the target terminal and contact the administrator (our center) to request recovery with the error code.
- Follow the instructions on Microsoft's Help, display your own device, and confirm the [Device ID] of the target device.
- Copy the [Device ID], and contact the administrator (our center) with the error message/error code to request for recovery.
